Booked, collected, and the gap between

Two honest revenue figures that do not match, with the difference itemised instead of smoothed — and one card that stays empty on purpose.

TryCompare Booked with Collected, then look at the product whose profit is withheld.

Profit reporting: 54 of 62 units sold have a cost recorded (87%). 8 units have none, so the profit shown is higher than the real one.

Where your revenue standsMarketing counts orders placed; this page counts cash collected. Here is why the two differ — and why that is normal with cash on delivery.

Booked (Marketing)

EGP 82,591

Value of orders placed, minus refunds and returns — what the ad platforms see.

Collected (Money)

EGP 62,493.5

Payments settled in the period. Cash on delivery settles when the order is delivered — the cash may still be with the courier until it is handed over to you.

The EGP 20,097.5 difference is revenue on its way to you, not lost sales:

CollectedPayments settled this period. Cash on delivery settles on delivery, which is not the same as the money reaching you.
EGP 62,493.5
Awaiting collectionCash on delivery still in transit, plus unpaid balances on orders placed this period. A refused order keeps its balance here, because nothing was ever collected on it.
EGP 34,707.5
Timing differencesPayments or refunds that settle in a different period from the order — and the revenue on refused orders, taken back out of Booked so it is counted once and not twice.
-EGP 14,610

These add up exactly: collected + awaiting + timing = booked.

These figures are calculated from the costs the system tracks: product cost, shipping and returns. General operating costs — rent, salaries and the rest — are not part of the calculation, so read this as profit at order level rather than your company's net profit.

What this moved elsewhere

Why it works this way

Marketing counts orders placed; the money page counts payments settled. With cash on delivery those are weeks apart, so a system that reports one number is hiding the other. The gap is broken into what is measurably outstanding and a disclosed remainder, and the remainder is shown even when it is awkward.
