Why it works this way
Marketing counts orders placed; the money page counts payments settled. With cash on delivery those are weeks apart, so a system that reports one number is hiding the other. The gap is broken into what is measurably outstanding and a disclosed remainder, and the remainder is shown even when it is awkward.
