Your first week after launch
The steps that make your numbers come out right from the first selling day.
Your store is open. The first week decides whether your numbers come out right, or whether you are still doubting them a month from now. These steps, in this order.
1 · Make sure your product costs are entered
This is the most important item on this list.
Every profit figure in the system is built on cost of goods. Without cost, the system can tell you what you sold — not what you kept.
2 · Run one complete test order
From the storefront, not from the dashboard. Buy a product the way a customer does, and walk the order all the way through: confirm, prepare, ship, deliver, collect.
This shows you two things: that the path works, and that your team knows where each step is done.
3 · Set your per-governorate shipping rates
Shipping enters the profit calculation on every order. If the rates are wrong, net profit is wrong by exactly that difference — and it compounds quickly.
4 · Connect tracking before you spend on ads
Before the first pound of ad spend, make sure:
- your pixels are configured (Meta · Google · TikTok)
- your campaign links carry UTM parameters
- your ad spend is recorded in the system
Without those you will know what you sold, not what the ads produced. Details in Campaigns, UTM links and attribution.
5 · Train your team on the four daily paths
Not on the whole system — on what happens every day:
- new order → confirm → prepare
- a shipment came back → record the return
- cash collection and hand-over
- adding a product or adjusting stock
6 · Let a week pass before judging the numbers
Analytics need real data. The first week has few orders, so any percentage taken from it swings wildly — one return out of ten is 10%, out of a hundred it is 1%.
Read the trend, not the point.
