Checkout and cash on delivery
How a customer completes an order, and which payment methods your store can offer.
Buying from your store is designed along the shortest possible path: the customer buys without creating an account.
Guest checkout
The customer adds to cart, enters their details and address, picks a payment method, and confirms. No registration and no password.
Why that matters in the Egyptian market: every extra step before confirmation lowers completion, and creating an account is the largest extra step there is.
Before confirmation: the cart is re-checked
Before the order is recorded, the system re-checks the cart: are the products still available, are the prices still the same, are the quantities there?
If something changed, the customer is told before paying — not afterwards.
Payment methods
Cash on delivery
The primary method in the Egyptian market, and available in your store.
The order is recorded, and the customer pays the courier on delivery. Payment on the order is complete at that point, but the cash itself stays owed to you until it reaches you — and you follow that on the shipment itself. An important detail explained in Order, payment and return statuses.
Instapay
The customer transfers and uploads proof of the transfer, or pays a deposit. The request reaches your dashboard for review.
Card payments — via Paymob
Card payment is available in the system through Paymob.
Coupons
If you have an active coupon, the customer enters it at checkout and the discount is applied. The discount enters the net profit calculation on that order, so it is never lost from the maths.
Shipping
The shipping price is set by governorate, according to the rules you configure. The customer sees it before confirming.
After confirmation
The customer reaches a confirmation page carrying the order number and its details, and can follow it afterwards from the tracking page.
